Naturally frozen on the vine from our estate grown vineyard, our 2011 Vidal Ice Wine expresses rich honey, tropical, and citrus flavors, as only the essence of the grape was extracted in the winter pressing.
50% American oak fermented and sur lie aged blended with 50% stainless steel fermented and aged this chardonnay has something for every one. Ripe tropical fruit flavors with a touch of nuts and butter helps make this a well-balanced wine for all to enjoy.

FIELD BLEND -
Our field blend is 55% Barbera, 20% Carignane, 14% Petite Syrah, and 11% Alicante Bouschet. The shifting flavor profile of this wine include currant, pomegranate, with aromas of jasmine lavender and roses just to name a few.
2011 WINEMAKERS BLEND
25% Cab Sauvignon, 25% Cab Franc, 25% Merlot and 25% Zin. Intense wild cherries and plums aromas, followed by hints of juicy raspberries, pepper, and oak. Ready to drink upon release, but you will be rewarded by some bottle aging. Decant before drinking.
Scents of smoky oak, jammy raisin-rhubarb, and coffee. An exciting velvet carousel of chocolate covered black cherries with a finish of coffee bean and raisins. Great with barbecue.

This Blend of 50% NC grown Cab Sauvignon and 50% NC grown Merlot was made with help from the students of Appalachian State University Fermentation Science program. A percentage of the proceeds from this wine will be donated back to the Program to help continue the Universities efforts towards a better future for the North Carolina grape and wine industry.
